Get an updated credit score.
Your credit score updates and you may not have an updated view of your credit score. There are many places online to calculate your credit score for free. You can also get it from credit bureau. Your credit score might be better than you think.
Here are the options for bad credit history. If you can’t get a loan from loan officer, you can always take over an existing loan from the home owner. The seller financing is another option although it is not very easy to get. Smaller amount of loans are easier to get when you pay more than a quarter down payment. If you have a co-signer or co-owner, life is a lot easier and loans are more doable. Lease the home and this rent can count as income to lift your mortgage burdon.
